Dear Parents / Caregivers Last Thursday the staff and Board had the opportunity to listen to Celia Lashlie speak about the role of teachers in boys’ education. Celia spoke from her experience as a Prison Officer, Prison Manager, Head of Special Education Services and now as a part of the ‘Good Man’ project that she runs with Norm Hewitt. This was an extremely valuable two hours with many good ideas and suggestions for staff to consider. We have been offered the opportunity to be part of this project in 2007 and will receive a two day visit from Celia and Norm to work with our school community (students, parents and staff). Early School Finish Next Thursday, 2nd November school will finish at 12:10 p.m. to allow staff to attend an NZEI meeting.
