Dear Parents / Caregivers Teacher Only DayRemember that this Friday, 20 October is a Teacher Only Day. Staff will be looking at the new curriculum document that has been published and what impact it will have on Tokoroa Intermediate. Phys Ed & Sports Gear As part of our uniform policy we ask that children always change for Phys Ed and sport. T his is a health and hygiene issue. Students know that they must have phys ed gear for these activities. Please ensure that your child has the correct gear for school or a note if there is a problem. Medication At School Please remember that any medication brought to school must be physically delivered to the school office by an adult. We will ask that you countersign a book acknowledging the medication and its quantity. This is to assist our staff keep track of this difficult area. Open Day & Year 6 Visits The Open Day yesterday and the visit by the Year 6 children
from the primary schools today, were very successful. On the Open Day,
Vincent Aballe, Sissy Maniapoto and Jordan Redwood gave parents their views
on aspects of the school they were involved in and did this job extremely
well. A number of House Captains and Class Councillors showed parents
around the school. Board of Trustees Meeting Tonight at 7:00p.m. in the school staffroom. Blind Week Appeal The annual community collection for Blind Week is Monday, 30 October. This is the one time that Tokoroa Intermediate School seeks help from
students to collect for charity. Students will meet at the Senior Citizens
rooms in Papanui Street at 5:15p.m. They will go in pairs with a member of
the Lions Club, Forest View High School or Tokoroa Intermediate School staff
members and collect envelopes and donations. At approximately 7:00p.m. to
7:30p.m. they will return back to the Senior Citizens for a drink and
