Dear Parents / Caregivers Our 2005 Charter has been completed and forwarded to the Ministry of
Education who will provide us with feedback on it. A part of the
Charter is the targets set in literacy and numeracy which we are hopeful the
students will be able to achieve by the end of the school year. We
will let parents know how well we have done in reaching the targets through
our newsletters. If there are any parents who would like to view this
year’s Charter there is a copy in the school office. Most of the school Kapa Haka group spent last
weekend at Papa O Te Aroha on a noho marae. The weekend was an
opportunity for the group to get to know each other and their tutors,
Charles Tepana and Tangiwai Amopiu better. It started with a powhiri
on Friday evening and during the course new waiata were learnt and all
children gave their pepeha. The noho was not all work – the children
started each day with Whaea Tangiwai’s martial arts lessons and had a ‘fun
evening’ on Saturday night. Tokoroa Intermediate Girls Rugby Team Wins Again!!!
